Thes chunky farmhouse-style benches are made using four-inch thick Scandinavian pine for the legs. one-and-a-half-inch thick side rails fitted to the legs with three-quarter inch mortice and tenons, glued and dowelled for extra strength. The chunky bench top is made from one-and-a-half-inch thick, equal-sized Quebec pine planks. The top is fixed to the base with traditional wooden buttons allowing the top to acclimatise in your home. The benches we make are designed to fit underneath its parent dining table. To work out the size of the through-leg bench, subtract two hundred and sixty millimetres from the size of the table the bench is designed to fit under.
