The Grand Plank Bed without a footboard offers all the bold character and refined craftsmanship of our original design, with a more open, pared-back feel. Perfect for those seeking a spacious, uncluttered look, this version creates a lighter visual footprint while retaining the strength and stature of our iconic plank bed design.

Handmade in our Derbyshire workshop, each bed is built from slow-grown Canadian Pine — chosen for its superior durability and naturally beautiful grain. The tall statement headboard is constructed with solid four-inch thick posts and robust one-and-a-half-inch planks, creating a strong architectural feature for any bedroom, particularly those with high ceilings or larger proportions.

By removing the footboard, the bed feels more minimal, making it ideal for tighter spaces, modern interiors, or anyone who prefers a cleaner silhouette without compromising on quality or presence.

The side rails, made from solid timber, are traditionally morticed and tenoned into the headboard and lock firmly into place. The heavy-duty 27mm pine slats provide excellent support for any mattress, ensuring lasting comfort and stability.
