The Tapered Leg Bench : Mill Sawn Pine

The Tapered Leg Bench is made using slow-grown Quebec Pine timber. The legs are made from three-inch stock finishing at seventy millimetres thick at the top and tapering to thirty millimetres at the foot. A bead detail features down the outer edge of each leg just giving a hint of old farmhouse furniture. The base rails are fitted to the legs with traditional mortice and tenon joints, that are glued and dowelled for extra strength The tops are made from two equal sized planks of one and a half inch thick timbers and fitted to the base using traditional wooden buttons that allow the top to acclimatise to your home. two coats of stripped pine furniture wax are applied by our workshop team before our leather disc logo is fitted, the whole piece is checked for quality assurance and prepped for delivery. The size of the bench is linked to its parent table. If you need to work out the actual size of the bench it is the size of the table minus the overhang at each end of the parent table minus two hundred and ten millimetres.
