The Tapered Leg Bench : Re Sawn oak

This modern oak bench is made with high-graded solid European oak. Each leg is made using three inch solid section oak with a tapered design feature. The ninety millimetre base rails are mortice and tenoned into the legs then glued and dowelled for extra strength. The top is made from one and a half inch thick oak planks of random width then fitted down to the bench base using traditional wooden buttons that allow the bench top to acclimatise in your home. The size of the bench is designed to fit under its parent table. To work out the size of the bench you require start with the table size its designed to fit under, subtract the overhang of each end of the table then subtract 210mm.
