Made from beech hardwood which sands beautifully and waxes well too. If you are pairing up with one of our rustic mill sawn pine dining tables you should order the beech waxed version which is a close match to the general colour of our tables and blends in well. Please bear in mind that wood is a natural material and every single piece of furniture has a unique colour or hue depending on the character of each piece of wood used, so perfect matches in our world are an impossible task and one that is pointless too as we generally want the character of each piece to be unique and to simply blend with the other pieces it sits with. If you have a re-sawn oak solid wood dining table, then the ladderback is also available in oak. It’s important to remember that our solid wood dining chairs are commercial grade meaning they are made to last and to be used frequently. This is important to say as many wooden dining chairs are domestic grade which aren’t expected to be used as much and aren’t therefore expected to stand the test of time.
