Like the best songs that almost seem like they created themselves for all human pleasure and entertainment, our Pine Lowboy chest of drawers feels like its existed since the dawn of human invention. Since we needed storage the lowboy has just been here for us. Technically you could have made this beautiful chest of drawers without the use of modern wood glues thousands of years ago with dovetail drawer joints and hand tools, we opt for quality glues as well as quality joints and fixings etc just to be sure but the design and manufacture hasn’t had to change massively over thousands of years because the methods of construction simply don’t need to change. When modern machinery and factories step in, it is usually to aid and increase profit and churn out mass production pieces that wont stand the test of time. We like the old way, it just works!
