How we make our Solid wood 4 poster bed frames
Timber type : European Oak, Scandinavian Redwood Bed Slats
Finish : Fiddes White Wax Oil
Build quality: Handmade by Ashton And Coleman using 4″ solid section European oak for the bed posts. Bolted 3/4 inch mortice and tenon joints fix the Quebec pine planks to the posts, enabling the posts and planks to come apart for easy delivery. Extremely strong 3/4 inch mortice and tenons connect the side rails to the posts. Solid metal brackets are screwed to the side rails and the posts to keep the mortice and tenon’s together and also allow them to come apart for delivery. But don’t worry, you can take these beds apart and put them back together extremely easily and over and over again without losing the quality or strength of the 4 Poster Bed.
