The Arkwright Dining Table is a bespoke oak dining table that needed a strong name to match its essence. The Arkwright Dining Table is a celebration of British craftsmanship and heritage, named in honour of Sir Richard Arkwright, the pioneering engineer whose legacy lives on in nearby Cromford, just a short distance from our Matlock showroom in the Peak District, Derbyshire.
This bespoke oak dining table is handcrafted from beautifully re-sawn solid oak, full of character and natural charm. Whether you’re looking for a large oak dining table to bring the whole family together or an extra large oak dining table to make a bold statement in an open-plan space, The Arkwright is designed to be the centrepiece of your home.
As a custom made oak dining table, each piece is individually built to order using traditional glued and pegged mortice and tenon joints for strength and longevity. It’s then hand-finished with Fiddes white oil by one of our skilled furniture makers, enhancing the natural grain and giving the wood a soft, tactile feel.
Pair it with traditional wooden chairs for a warm, rustic aesthetic, leather dining chairs for a more refined atmosphere, or contemporary seating for a modern edge. However you style it, The Arkwright brings together timeless design and expert craftsmanship in a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
