Each bed is meticulously crafted in our Derbyshire workshop using slow-grown Canadian Pine, chosen for its exceptional strength and beautiful natural grain. The headboard and footboard are constructed with solid four-inch thick posts and robust one-and-a-half-inch planks, delivering both presence and durability. Traditional glued and pegged mortice and tenon joints ensure lasting stability, while the removable side rails, also built from solid timber, lock firmly into place.

The bed base is finished with heavy-duty 27mm thick pine slats, providing unbeatable mattress support. Like all Ashton & Coleman beds, the Grand Plank Bed is made entirely by hand, showcasing the skill and care of our experienced craftsmen.
