The Plank Bench : Mill Sawn Pine

This Pine Plank Bench has a simple design that allows it to fit into a myriad of home styles and its construction means it will serve you forever! This is a bestseller for a reason. Designed in sizes to fit under the parent table. To work out the size of the plank bench, take the table size that it’s designed to fit underneath and subtract three hundred and sixty millimetres. The solid wood legs on this chunky bench are made from four-inch-thick timbers. The side rails are made using one-and-a-half-inch thick Quebec pine, which connects to the legs with proper mortice and tenon joints, glued and dowelled for additional strength. The bench top is made from two equal-sized planks of one-and-a-half-inch Quebec pine. The top is fitted to the base using traditional wooden buttons to allow the top to acclimatise in your home. Our Mill Sawn Pine range is finished with two coats of stripped pine furniture wax and fitted with a branded leather disc.
