Our re-sawn oak console table is exactly what you’d expect from Ashton & Coleman – solid, honest, handmade furniture that speaks for itself. Built by hand in our Derbyshire workshop (yes, by us – the actual furniture makers), this is a proper piece of craftsmanship with no corners cut and no gimmicks.
We use only solid oak timber, carefully selected and full of natural character. You won’t find any MDF, laminates or anything that shouldn’t be in high-quality furniture. Just chunky, beautifully re-sawn oak, crafted the way it should be. This oak console table is built to last for generations – not just a few years.
The design is clean and timeless. It does its job without shouting about it. Whether it’s sitting in a hallway, behind a sofa, or as a side table in your kitchen or dining space, it brings warmth, structure, and purpose to the room. And with its distinctive re-sawn finish, each piece carries its own grain, texture, and story.
We want our customers to come back, sure – but to come back for new pieces, not because something gave up after a few years. That’s not how we work. When we make a handmade oak console table, we build it to be dependable, beautiful, and properly made – the kind of furniture that’s passed down, not thrown out.
Each console table is finished by hand, using traditional techniques and natural oils to protect and enhance the wood’s grain. It’s simple, solid, and full of character – just like the rest of our handmade oak furniture.

For your chosen piece of furniture to fit the space you intend, please allow an additional 12mm on all external sizes given. Ashton And Coleman cannot be held responsible for failed installations or deliveries due to sizes being miscalculated by a customer.
