The Through Leg Bench : Re Sawn Oak

Our rustic oak bench is designed to look and feel great in a variety of interiors from country homes to modern designer homes. How you dress the rest of the room can significantly alter the overall look of our solid oak furniture. The benches are sized and designed to fit under the parent table meaning each bench design has differing sizes. Our Through Leg Bench in Re-sawn Oak is made using solid section four-inch thick European oak for the legs, and one-and-a-half-inch oak for the base rails, which are mortice and tenoned to the legs with glued and dowelled joints for added strength. The top is made from one-and-a-half-inch random-width solid oak planks that are then fixed to the base using traditional wooden buttons allowing the top to acclimatise in your home. Each piece is finished by our dedicated team of craftsmen with two coats of white Fiddes wax oil that keeps the oak looking as natural as possible. A leather branded disc is then fitted to each piece before inspection and delivery.
