Crafting Beautiful Bespoke Wooden Shelving & Metal Shelf Brackets: The Perfect Match of Wood & Metal at Ashton & Coleman

Creating a home that feels both warm and contemporary often comes down to the details—think solid wooden shelves and stylish metal brackets that blend function with design. At Ashton & Coleman, we specialise in handcrafted pine and oak shelving paired with elegant and stylish metal shelf brackets. Here’s your guide to choosing the perfect combination for your space

Our Metal Shelf Brackets Range

We offer two distinct styles of brackets, each with unique finishes and sizes to suit different needs:

Inverted bracket – clean, minimal silhouette with lip
Regular bracket – classic look with added lip

Each style comes in two finishes:

Matt black – for bold, industrial or modern interiors
Clear steel – sleek, versatile, and perfect for contemporary or Scandinavian settings

Choose from three sizes to support shelves of varying depths and weights—ideal for everything from kitchen display to bathroom storage.

Handcrafted Bespoke Wooden Shelving Using Pine & Oak

Our bespoke wooden shelving is made to fit seamlessly with our brackets:

Bespoke wooden shelving types:
- Mill‑sawn pine – gentle grain, available in six wax finishes
- Re‑sawn oak – rich grain, refined natural or waxed finish
Depth options: 15 cm, 22.5 cm, 30 cm (to match bracket support)
Thickness: choose standard or chunky boards for different visual impact

This gives you total flexibility to style shelves that reflect your taste—whether you like sleek minimalism or rustic charm.

Styling Inspiration by Room

Barn conversions & farmhouses: Pair lipped brackets with waxed pine shelves and rustic pottery or greenery.
Modern new builds: Opt for inverted brackets in matt black under chunky oak boards—perfect for kitchens or living areas.
Contemporary homes: Choose clear steel brackets with slim pine shelves in your favourite wax hue for a polished, minimal look.

The combinations are endless, yet every choice remains practical and stylish—bringing form and function equally to your wall space.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Having had Indigo furniture in the past, that was heavy, good quality furniture, I was mildly apprehensive about what I would be getting 15 years later from another company over the phone.
The quality is in fact better and the finish is of a higher standard and the old irritations have been rectified. I had a bespoke triple wardrobe made that is superb.
Rest assured it's the same but better!- Look no further!
