With all the same quality and detail as our Pine Plank bed, this no-foot-end version simply gives a greater feeling of space. Perfect if you have a cosier sized room. The side rails are removable for delivery purposes. All our rustic plank beds are made and finished by hand in our workshop by our skilled craftsmen right here in Derbyshire. In most cases, we also deliver and install these beds ourselves ensuring you get the very best level of service from our workshop to your home.

The Ashton And Coleman Pine Plank Bed – No Foot End is made using solid section four-inch Scandinavian redwood for the posts and one-and-a-half-inch thick slow-grown Quebec Pine for the headboard planks and all side rails. Our headboard and side rails are all made using proper mortice and tenon joints, you will not find a stronger construction of a solid wood bed frame on the market. Every effort is made to ensure our solid wood rustic bed is 100% guaranteed for life. 27mm redwood slats offer absolute support. Our solid wood rustic beds are then finished with stripped pine furniture wax by one of our skilled furniture makers. Now all you need is an Ashton and Coleman Natural Pocket Sprung Mattress to guarantee a reassuringly sound night’s sleep.

Pine Plank Bed- no foot end: Sizes stated are external measurements (largest part of the piece). Sizes are a guide only. All handmade furniture by its nature can fluctuate in size fractionally from one piece to the next. For your chosen piece of furniture to fit the space you intend, please allow an additional 12mm on all external sizes given. Ashton And Coleman cannot be held responsible for failed installations or deliveries due to sizes being miscalculated by a customer.

Finish : Fiddes Stripped Pine Furniture Wax

Build quality: Handmade by Ashton And Coleman using 4″ solid section Scandinavian Redwood for the bed posts. Glued and dowelled 3/4 inch mortice and tenon joints fix the Quebec pine planks to the posts. Extremely strong 3/4 inch mortice and tenons connect the side rails to the posts. Solid metal brackets are screwed to the side rails and the posts to keep the mortice and tenon’s together and also allow them to come apart for delivery. But don’t worry, you can take these beds apart and put them back together extremely easily and over and over again without losing the quality or strength of the bed.

Bed Slats: 27mm x 145mm Scandinavian redwood (Extremely Strong).

Headboard Planks: 3.8cm x 30cm with loose tongue and groove joint for acclimatisation.
